Gonzales Healthcare Systems is proud to announce David L. Flentge as the new Practice Management Administrator for Sievers Medical Clinic and Waelder Medical Clinic David L. Flentge David L. Flentge, MBA is an experienced manager, director, owner, and instructor with operating experience in a variety of professions, with thirty years experience over a wide variety of business settings. David was raised in an entrepreneurial family where management skills were genetically conveyed. These activities included, ranching, farming, real estate, property management, retail stores, restaurants, and oil production and drilling. Recently David completed an administrative internship under Chuck Durant (CEO) of Seton Northwest Hospital in Austin. Chuck allowed David to complete a grand rotation spending considerable time in each department and the SETON Network. The internship was a rich learning opportunity, an experience that built on his introduction into quality management. David’s focus consists of customer satisfaction—which he believes to be the staff, physicians, and patients—and margin management, while using his business experience to impact healthcare issues within the Gonzales Healthcare community. Departments interned in include, PACU, Pain Management, Labor & Delivery, Emergency Department (Level III), Surgery Center, Admission, Material Management, Volunteer Services, Security, Plant Operations, Finance, Physical Therapy, Imaging, Patient Access, and Laboratory Services. Importantly, to understand the patient’s perspective he conducted a thorough patient tracer that included a billing tracer on services provided.
